Present P erfect Continuous
I have been going in for sport since August. Я занимаюсь спортом с августа. I have been doing aerobics for 3 months. Я занимаюсь аэробикой 3 месяца. I haven’t been smoking since last year. Я не курю с прошлого года.
I have been keeping fit for 5 years to be strong and active. Я поддерживаю свою форму уже 5 лет, чтобы быть сильным и активным. I have been taking Colgate toothpaste for a year. Я пользуюсь зубной пастой Колгейт в течение года.
Как происходят действия в предложениях? Какие это действия? Все эти действия начались в прошлом (год назад, 3 месяца назад, с прошлого года и т.д.) и происходят до сих пор, до настоящего времени. Для выражения таких действий в английском языке существует Present Perfect Continuous Tense.
